However in recent years the Gulf state of Dubai has become one of the most popular destinations for Europeans wanting some sun for a few days, and to party at the many bars and clubs which have sprung up over the past few years. As a result, there is a multitude of choice when it comes to choosing from a variety of Dubai hotels.
There is a huge selection of Dubai hotels, from 7 star luxury, complete with gold plated taps, to more basic 2 and 3 star accommodation for the budget traveller. What is for suredefinite, is that you will be able to find one of the many Dubai hotels which meets your exact requirements.Of the most luxurious and feature packed Dubai hotels, perhaps the Atlantic Hotel wins this prize. This hotel opened a few months ago surrounded by a sea of celebrities, including Robert de Niro and Denzel Washington, and Kylie Minogue even performed a concert (which the organisers reportedly paid $4 million!).
Dubai has long been famous for its wide range of activities on offer – the air conditioning provided by Dubai hotels are great to escape the intense heat of the midday sun, but when it gets a bit cooler in the late afternoon, you can engage in a multitude of activities, such as the world’s biggest indoor ski resort, or even skiing in the desert! However, guests at the Atlantis Hotel hardly need to leave their hotel for the entire duration of their stay, as the activities available are so plentiful – you can even swim with dolphins, or spend time at the enormous water park on the site.
However, the prize for the most elegant and extravagant of Dubai hotels must be awarded to the Burj al Arab. This is the only 7 star hotel in the world, and sits on top of a man made island. This hotel has welcomed millionaires and billionaires from all over the world, and even royalty have stayed at this most famous of Dubai hotels.
However, if you are on a tighter budget, there are still hundreds, if not thousands of other Dubai hotels you can choose from. Before you book a room, however, make sure that the hotel meets all of your requirements - for example – does it have a pool, is there a restaurant, is it close to the beach, or the business district, and how far is the closest shopping mall? Everyone has different requirements when they come to Dubai, so make sure that you choose a hotel which is right for you.
No matter which of the many Dubai hotels you choose, in terms of how much you will have to pay for your hotel room, it definitely pays to carry out research on the internet beforehand. One site I frequently use to book Dubai hotels is Dubai Short Stay.com You can book rooms for any of the above mentioned Dubai hotels at this site, and the prices are the lowest I can ever find.

A Guide to Saving Money on Household Items Using Gift Vouchers

In these tough economic times, everyone is looking at how they can tighten their purse strings by saving money, whether it be at the supermarket, buying software for your computer, or for your leisure activities. If there is a product or service where you can utilize gift vouchers in order to save money, then you are more likely to buy this product or use the service. What follows is a guide to getting hold of the gift vouchers which offer the customer the best deals.
Retailers such as supermarkets have also been known to give away free gift vouchers. Sometimes these gift vouchers are in the form of stipulating some conditions, for example, you will get £10 off your grocery bill if you spend at least £50. Even deals like this can be valuable, as the weekly shop for most families, even those on a budget, will more than likely exceed £50.
By offering such deals, the retailer also gains. Firstly, by offering these gift vouchers, the retailer has ensured that the customer will return to their store, as opposed to the store of a competitor. Secondly, the retailer may gain in other ways. Sometimes, the gift vouchers can only be redeemed if you fill in a survey, or questionnaire. This way the retailer finds out crucial information about the shopping habits of it’s customers, which enables it to understand its customers more, and provide a better shopping experience.
Other companies offer gift vouchers in the form of free bonuses when you sign up for an account, such as poker and online gaming. This is a very competitive area, and so the various companies in this area offer big bonuses to customers who sign up with them. These will often be in the form of free money to play with, up to a certain amount. For example, if you deposit £200 into your account, the company will match that sum, and place a total of £400, so that you have £400 to play with (although there are sometimes restrictions on withdrawing this amount). Here, you can see that the value of the gift vouchers is very significant indeed.
Some of the best deals to be had at the moment are getting hold of gift vouchers for software. The software companies are desperate to sell as many copies of their software as possible, as they have already spent huge amounts of money to develop the software in the first place. Therefore, you often see some great deals, with gift vouchers sometimes reducing the price of the software by as much as 50%. You need to know where to look, however, as these deals are quite rare. One great site to get the best deals for software gift vouchers is Share Vouchers, which has developed key relationships with suppliers to enable the customer to save as much money as possible when buying software.
The internet is a great way of looking out for the latest gift voucher offers. There are now websites which have been specifically designed to look out for the latest offers offered by a huge variety of retailers. One of the leading websites offering free gift vouchers is Share Vouchers.co.uk, which has a multitude of offers, ranging from discounts on software, to free bonuses on gaming websites.

The Changing Face of Charitable Gifts

For many years if you wanted to donate to a charity or other good cause you were faced with the option of a cash donation. This article looks at the ever changing face of charity gifts and how donors can now choose from a wide variety of options when it comes to making a donation to their favourite charitable organisation or venture.
Fundraising and charitable donations have, like so many other businesses, have suffered in the wake of the financial problems that all parts of the World have seen in the past two years. And yet despite a downturn in donations to charities, voluntary organisations and community groups, there have been some changes when it comes to the type of donation that is now available to would be donors.
And instead of buying Christmas presents or other gifts, it is now becoming extremely popular to make a donation to charity on behalf of the person you are buying for. This method of donation has been available now for a few years with donations made being used to buy chickens or goats for families in parts of the world where such an item would be extremely beneficial.
And just as the Worlds economy has seen dramatic changes, the type of gift you can now obtain has also changed. In fact the most popular gift according to the independent charities watchdog Intelligent Giving for Christmas 2008 was a Camel which was available from Oxfam. For less than one hundred pounds sterling you could arrange for a camel to be provided to an African family. Not only does the camel give them a great mode of transport but it also gives the family nutritious milk as well as the camel dung being used for fuel or fertilisers. Whereas western families might receive a selection box at Christmas the African family could well receive transport, food and fuel in one package.
Other animal related gifts available still include the old favourites of chickens and goats as well as animals such as donkeys, sheep, cows or snails.
As well as animals as gifts you can now decide to make a donation that will provide a family with food such as coffee or rice or even making sure a certain number of people receive safe tap water.
Other donations can be made that will fund projects in third world countries including well fixing, providing emergency shelters, the building of bogs or just general home improvements.
The truth is the charity and voluntary sectors may have suffered in recent times due to donors being reluctant to donate for fear that their donation was being taken up with administration costs rather than reaching the actual people who need it. This way of donors knowing exactly what the cause is getting is proving to be very popular so if you want to give an unusual but highly welcome gift this year then instead of socks or a jumper remember that fish cages, pineapple plants and bull semen is proving to be very popular.

The Best Way to Set-up and Maintain Your Superannuation Fund

Superannuation is a method of financially preparing yourself for your retirement. Both yourself and your employer can contribute to it over time and this money is then invested into a variety of appropriate investments such as shares, property, savings accounts and government bonds.
When you retire, or qualify for your superannuation due to disability or death you will receive the money (less charges and taxes) either as regular payments made periodically, a lump sum payment, or a combination of the two.
The Superannuation Guarantee came into effect on July 1, 1992, making it compulsory for employers to contribute to an employee's superannuation fund.
The minimum amount of the contribution is 9% of an employee's wages. This excludes overtime, fringe benefits and leave loading).
However, not all employees are covered by this “guarantee”. The Superannuation Guarantee Act states that employers are not required to contribute to the Superannuation Guarantee in certain circumstances.
Some of these exceptions include:
• If an employee earns less than $450 per month;• If an employee works 30 hours per week or less and is under the age of 18;• If an employee is over the age of 70;• If an employee is paid to do domestic or private work for 30 hours per week or less.
Can the employer make contributions above the compulsory limit?
An employer is allowed to make higher contributions than the amount specified in the superannuation guarantee, but only as:
• a reward based on the performance of an employee;• an employers contribution that increases in line with the employees voluntary contribution;• a ‘salary-sacrifice’ - this is where the employer makes a contribution which tend to be benefits such that would otherwise be paid as salary.
By seeking advice from a financial advisor you can find out how to get your employer to pay more, but you have to remember that employers are limited by the amount that can be claimed as a deduction for superannuation contributions made.
These limits can change annually so check with your superannuation fund or the Australian Tax Office to find out.
Should employees contribute too?
If you have more disposable income than you require, and feel you are in a position to save this money towards your future, it may be wise to consider making superannuation contributions as opposed to investing it elsewhere.
There are aged limits that dictate whether or not you can contribute to superannuation – for more information on this, see the Australian Taxation Office web site.
Some of the advantages are:
• you generally pay less tax on interest accumulated from superannuation savings than you would on interest from a bank, although it is worth looking into deals on savings accounts as interest rates can work out higher, thus providing better rewards in the long-run;
• the 'salary sacrifice' scheme automatically takes the the superannuation contribution from your salary, which eliminates the possibility of you being tempted to spend the money on anything other than savings.
• There are limits involved to the amount that can be added to the salary sacrifice;
• the interest on superannuation savings is added onto the total investment, so effectively the interest earns more interest.
• The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) estimates that a sum of money ‘compounded’ at 7% a year will double in value in ten years;
• you may be able to take advantage of Government incentives offered such as the co-contribution scheme. This scheme allows you to be given up to $1500 from the government when you contribute to your fund.
Go to the Australian Taxation Office web site for details.
tax advantages
• The maximum tax rate for contributions made by your employer is 15%.• The income earned through the fund's investments is also taxed at a maximum rate of 15%.• Salary sacrifice contributions are taxed at 15%.• When an employee reaches the age of 60 they can withdraw their superannuation as a one-off lump sum or tax free income stream.
laws
The main laws that apply to superannuation are the:
• Superannuation Industry Act and Regulations;• Superannuation Guarantee Act and Regulations;• Income Tax Assessment Act.
Jargon definitions
Accumulation funds – this is the money is invested and the final benefit depending on the overall contributions, plus earnings of the fund.
Annuity – This is much the same as a pension. You receive regular payments that are made periodically for either a specified amount of time or until you die.
Benefit - the money paid to you out of the superannuation fund or kept on your behalf within the fund.
Contribution - the money paid into the superannuation fund by either yourself or your employer.
Lump sum – the entire fund received in a single one-off payment.
Preserved - money that is held on your behalf that you cannot access until retirement or certain other circumstances, such as reaching a certain age or leaving employment either temporarily or permanently. This includes money contributed by an employer, interest earned on the fund or contributions made by a self-employed person which have been claimed as a tax deduction and any contributions not deducted made after 1 July, 1999.
Rollover - moving money from one fund to another.
What you are entitled to know
You are entitled to certain information from your superannuation fund. This includes:
• a member statement showing the amount of your benefit at the beginning and end of the related period, the amount that is preserved and contact details;
• a fund report showing the fund's financial status;
• notification of any changes that affect you;
• a statement that shows your benefit

How Couples Can Discuss Money Without Arguing

Who doesn’t want love, healthy sex, and money as elements of a happy, fulfilled life? To acquire these things, however, we need successful relationships built through sharing thoughts and feelings. Below are 12 steps to a “connecting conversation” about finances. You relieve some of the financial stress when you can have a positive talk about money. These steps can be used to discuss any topic.
Financial difficulties can put a lot of stress on a relationship. The major breadwinner will often try to fix the problem without burdening his or her partner, while the partner may feel unimportant and left out. The relationship suffers as a consequence.
Step 1: Plan a reward for your conversation.
Discussing money is difficult for most couples even in good times. To help motivate you to undertake this conversation, each start by sharing a reward you would like to receive for completing this first conversation. The reward should be something that you look forward to enthusiastically, like going to a movie, going out to dinner, attending a concert or a play, planning a vacation or a cruise, even planning to retire earlier based on having worked together on your financial plan. Give yourselves a reward when you have completed this conversation.
Step 2: Accept that you and your partner will have differences.
It is unusual for two people to think exactly alike about money. One partner tends to save, the other to spend. Each position has value for the relationship. A critical step toward working as a team is to appreciate how your partner contributes to your financial partnership.
Step 3: Set aside an uninterrupted time to talk.
You are not going to fix all your problems in this one conversation, and that should not be your goal, so 20 minutes is enough time to talk. Your most important goal is to have a positive experience talking so you are motivated to keep having talks. If you run into a difficult issue that makes it hard to continue to talk, take a break and resume a few hours later.
Step 4: Find a “business” setting in your home where you can focus and listen without distractions.
You could use facing chairs at the kitchen table, for example. This room should not be a place where you are romantic. Agree not to answer the phone and to take care of possible distractions in advance.
Step 5: Use impersonal energy, not personal energy or walls.
Impersonal energy is what you use at work when dealing with a colleague. You are fully attentive but detached from taking things personally. Avoid using personal energy where your primary focus is on feelings. Taking care of feelings makes it difficult to focus on the task of solving your financial problems. Personal energy can lead you to take things personally and feel more vulnerable
Step 6: Make eye contact so that you each feel what you are saying is valued and heard.
If you look away your partner may interpret that to mean you aren’t interested or don’t value their input.
Step 7: Monitor your tone of voice.
Your tone is more important than your words. If your tone sounds critical, blaming, whiny, or weak, rather than non-judgmental, your conversation can quickly turn into the blame game.
Step 8: Talk without blaming or criticizing.
Use ‘I’ statements, not ‘you’ statements. ‘You’ statements are about your partner; they can be accusatory and provoke defensiveness or aggravate your partner.
Step 9: Take responsibility for your thoughts and your mindsets.
We interpret the sights and sounds we perceive so quickly we do not realize our thinking gives them a meaning almost instantly. For example, when we hear a loud bang outside, we give it a meaning so quickly we don’t realize our mind has interpreted it as either a dangerous bomb exploding or a joyous celebration starting. We create our feelings depending on the interpretation. If we think it’s a bomb we feel fear, whereas if we think it’s a celebration we feel joy. Our interpretations arise from our mindsets, our conditioned beliefs that started in childhood.
Step 10: Take turns talking while using sentence stems that take responsibility.
Each partner should use three short sentences starting with these sentence stems:
1. “What I am making myself think is….”
2. “What I am making myself feel about this is….” (Feelings are single words like fear, pain, anger, guilt, shame, love, joy, passion, depressed, and excited. Our thoughts require several words. You may have more than one feeling about your thought.)
3. “What I would appreciate you doing about this is….”
For example I might say, “What I am making myself think is we don’t have enough money to pay all our bills. What I am making myself feel about it is fear, pain, guilt, shame, and anger. What I would appreciate you doing is having a conversation with me so we can prioritize and plan how to pay these bills and prepare for future expenses.”
Once you have spoken your three sentences, your partner responds using the same process. When your partner is talking, keep in mind that your partner is responsible for creating what they are thinking and saying, just as you are for what you are thinking and saying. It is to be expected that your partner’s perception about your finances and bills will be different from yours, which is why it is so important to have your conversation. Your partner’s mindset is as valid for them as your mindset is for you. Each of your pictures of your finances needs to be heard and respected to make plans that you can work on as a team.
Your goal in talking is to tell your partner what you think and feel, not to try to change your partner. If your words bring about a change in their thinking, that is determined by your partner. Likewise, you listen to hear your partner's thoughts and feelings. You do not listen to defend or justify yourself.
Step 11: Identify and write down practical goals.
After talking back and forth for 15 minutes, each write down three changes you will start immediately to help with your finances and continue until you meet again in three months. These goals are for you. Your partner will come up with their goals. You may share a common goal that you both work on. Sweep your side of the street and let your partner sweep theirs. Quarterly meetings are needed to stay current with your finances. When you have a pressing financial problem you will need to meet more frequently.
Step 12: Practice gratitude for each step your partner takes in listening and sharing.
We do more of what we are appreciated for. When not appreciated, we usually do less of what we were doing. When you appreciate your partner it helps you; you will raise your energy and feel better. If you criticize your partner you lower your energy and make yourself feel worse.
It is important to realize that you can use this 12 step connecting conversation by yourself to change your relationship. Even if your partner is not involved in using it or not motivated to learn it, you can practice all the steps yourself. You will change yourself in the process, which in turn will change your relationship. You will feel better about yourself and how you are relating to your partner.

6 Things You Should NEVER Do With Your Cell Phone

The cell phone is a truly magical piece of technology. The mind actually spins when trying to consider all the ways it has changed our lives for the better. But with all that convenience there is also additional risk. Using (or more commonly misusing) a cell phone can lead to disastrous consequences. Here are six things to avoid when it comes to your cell phone.
1. Don’t drive while on the phone. Automobile accidents related to cell phone use are now considered as much of a menace as driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Never drive while using a handset phone to have a conversation. Using a hands-free device such as Bluetooth can make things better, but the call itself is still a distraction. Better to pull off to the side of your road when you need to talk on your cell phone.
2. Don’t leave it unattended. Every year, thieves steal thousands of cell phones off of unsuspecting individuals. Don’t be a statistic! Protect your cell phone at all times. Never leave your phone out on a table at a restaurant, in an open purse or unlocked car. You might want to look into getting insurance on your cell phone as well. If the deductible is inexpensive, and you own a high-end smart-phone, the few dollars a month could well be worth it.
3. Don’t make calls when you don’t know the rates. Roaming charges and long distance calls can add up fast. That’s why you should always know the calling rates and pricing structure when using your phone on a trip away from home. Remember, if roaming charges are a part of your cell phone package, limit your call time to emergencies and vital personal or business calls.
4. Don’t neglect your battery. Often times, people engage in bad cell phone battery habits without even knowing it. To keep your battery working longer, take a single day out of the week and let the power on your phone die all the way down until it shuts off. Then recharge it back up to full strength. This single action will help add months of life to an existing cell phone battery.
5. Don’t pay too much for it. In a true retail tragedy, every day people walk into retail cell phone stores and plunk down hundreds of dollars for the latest cell phone models. Or worse, they commit to long, expensive service contract extensions that keep them from finding a more appropriate calling plan. Right now, smart shoppers are online buying discount unlocked cell phones and cell phone accessories that offer a lower price tag without sacrificing features or quality.
6. Give it to your teenager without a strict set of rules. Teenagers and cell phones can be a dangerous mix unless there are some clear guidelines about usage. Make your teen an active part of the process by showing them the bills every month and clearly explaining the rules of engagement when it comes to their calls. Also, it is essential that they know NEVER to use the phone while driving, even in an emergency.

Improve Your Offer In 6 Easy Ways

Dear Marketer, have you ever been stuck with any offers that just didn't seem to sell? Were you ever trying to turn your already strong offers into a real hot pick?
When you need to improve your offers, certain things just aren’t possible for you as Affiliate Marketer, like for instance to offer discounts or to deliver upgrades.
What can you do to improve your offers?
Here are at least 6 easy ways to improve your offers, and really make your online-profits soar.
1. Show Immediate Benefits of Your Affiliate Offer: Make the prospects realize, how they can put the product or service to use from the moment they buy it. If you own a copy of the products you promote, create a tutorial, use case studies or some other way of showcasing the results you or others have gotten from it. Show how it will match the needs of your prospects, or how it will cure their “pain”.
2. Get Involved on a Personal Level: Social proof always adds value to any offers. “Proof” by highlighting your own experience with the product or service offered. Discuss any questions, problems and ultimate solutions regarding the product or service at hand. Try to get in the prospects shoes and empathize with their position or situation. Point out what you share in common.
3. Add Incentives to your Affiliate Offer: Are there any additional incentives you could provide in conformity with the merchant? This should normally be no problem when you’re promoting infoproducts, membership sites etc. Sweeten up your offers by adding other products to the mix, to foster the purchase. Ever been to a fishmarket Then you know that it’s simply done like “buy this … and I’ll throw in that … for free”!
4. Raise the Percepted Value of Your Affiliate Offer: The real value of any product or service is always in the prospect’s mind. You can increase that perception in many ways. Like for instance by guiding the prospect through a comparison of similar products or services, while pointing out why the one that you’re promoting is truly the best deal for his money.
5. Add Intangibles to Your Affiliate Offer: Raise the value of your offers even more with intangibles. Figure out what kind of intangibles are attached to the offered product or services and “sell” them along with your Affiliate Offer to make it more valuable to the prospects. Some simply irresistable intangibles are prestige, distinctiveness, reliability, simplicity, personal customization etc.
6. Secure the Purchase: “Airbag” your prospects and put their minds at ease. Give theme a sense of security in making the purchase. Is there a guarantee, perhaps a refund policy Very Good! Let them know the details. Make them realize that the transaction is secure. Remove as much risk as possible from the purchase.
Conclusion: With a little creativity you can easily add value to your offers. Just use the 6 ways i outlined above to skyrocket your merchant’s offers - and your online profits as well.

A Quick Guide To Writing A Marketing Plan

A well thought out game plan is a winning strategy in any battle! Your business is no less than a battle too, in which your competitors are trying to outsmart you every moment. To win this war, you need a game plan for your business. In other words, you need a marketing plan.
A marketing plan is a highly researched, well-written document which details all marketing actions necessary to achieve business objectives. It could be for a product, service, brand or a product line. From time to time, you need to stand back and see if your plan is working, and whether your day to day activities are aligned with it.
So let us begin with the basics of writing a marketing plan:
1. Title page – This must include the name of your company and the management team which is instrumental in developing strategies.
2. Executive summary – This is a quick overview of the main points in your plan. Although the summary comes first, it is best written last. This will ensure that you have not overlooked something and that your plan makes sense.
3. Current situation – Here, you need to analyze both the macro environment as well as the current market situation. The macro environment analysis will give you an insight into the economy, and larger legal and technical aspects that can impact your business. The current market situation will throw light on the potential market segment, competitor landscape, industry structure etc.
4. Consumer behavior – Present an analysis of your customers’ demographic profile and buying habits, talk about key motivators, loyalty segments and similar issues.
5. Company analysis – This is your chance to do some blah blah on your company. Just kidding! Analyze the internal situation of the company in terms of its vision and mission, long-term business objectives, short term goals, resource position etc. This is also an appropriate place to do a thorough SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis. This will help you identify the sustainable competitive advantages of your company, and also understand the key success factors for your business.
6. Market research – This chapter describes the process of data collection, method of analysis and key findings.
7. Marketing strategy – Step 1 - discuss product mix, product life cycle management, brand name, brand image etc. Step 2 - analyze market share by products, customer segments and geography Step 3 - it’s all about money, honey! this is where you talk pricing strategy Step 4 - share your advertising and promotion plans Step 5 - put down your ideas about how you will distribute our product.
8. Implementation – discuss the nitty-gritty out here. Chart out resource requirements, key deliverables, time frame and other issues related to implementation.
9. Financial summaries – include projections of income, break-even analysis, and payback period. List assumptions clearly.
10. Outlook – this contains predictions for the future and plans of action for alternative scenarios, if any.
11. Appendix – include all supporting material, tables and data.
Finally, we’ll leave you with a thought - if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail!

Let The Cash Pour In With These Marketing Pointers

If you want to get the cash pouring in your doors, there’s one thing you have to do – go out and hustle. Well, that’s two things actually. But mind you, if you really want your business to become so successful that you wouldn’t know where to put all your profits, you really have to work for it.
Everywhere there’s an abundance of marketing tips and know-how to help you create effective marketing campaigns in your advertising posters and color booklets. You just have to choose those that are particularly suitable for the kind of business you’re in, and most importantly to your needs.
So here’s our bid to help you fill up your cache with customers and clients to increase your sales and profits.
Develop premium marketing collaterals to advertise your business. There’s now way for you to get the word out without you having to create high standard marketing materials for your business. Your posters and even your advertising booklets provide that image you would want your clients and prospects to see. That’s why you need to carefully plan that image and make it consistent throughout your campaign.
We don’t tell you however, to dedicate every penny you have in your advertising though. Advertising may be costly, but there are ways and means to market your business without having to shell out so much of your money into it. If you can’t afford to hire a professional poster printing company, or a booklet printing firm, you can always work with a graphic designer and copywriter at least and have them provide you a file copy of what they’ve come up for your ad. This of course can be used in your other marketing projects every time you need to run one.
Be professional…even if you’re working at home. It doesn’t matter where you work - be it in your own home or garage, or even at your patio – it doesn’t excuse you from making a sloppy job out of your business. Being a professional in everything that you do can go along way in getting you leads for your business. So don’t let your kid answer your calls for you. If you can’t guarantee that you’ll always be there to answer calls, then be sure to have a voice mail system that can take your call when you’re out of reach. You could even add a few lines to let your callers know of what you can offer.
Target your market. Rather than go for everybody and pray that you catch some leads for your business, focusing on a particular market can get you more qualified prospects with your marketing campaign. Focus on your market and draw your advertising campaign from there. It’ll save you not only your time of reaching out to as many people as possible, but targeting your market can also save you lots of money as you only produce materials for a smaller select group.
Using these basic pointers can help you bring in the business for your business.

Drywall Repair: DIY vs. Hiring a Drywall Repair Specialist

Drywalls are common finishes used in the interior of homes whether in New York, or other cities in the U.S. No modern home could ever have been built without it. Though the building material has been manufactured to be tough, it is still not totally safe from any damage. Different levels of finishing, thickness and treatments that come with it offer various levels of soundproofing, fire resistance as well as impact tolerance. Depending on the degree of damage will the extent of drywall repair be.

Also known as gypsum board, any damage to it is commonly remedied through homeowners doing the drywall repair themselves or hiring a pro.
window.google_render_ad();
Though both options do have their benefits, they also have drawbacks. So when faced with any damage, it pays to carefully consider which alternative is best for your circumstance.

DIY Drywall Repair

Other than saving on the overall cost of the project, what drives many homeowners to do things themselves is the feeling of satisfaction upon finishing off the task successfully. Resources on the topic are abundant and you can easily look up helpful articles ad instructional videos about it in the World Wide Web, and even offline through magazines and books. The task is fairly easy if you are dealing with minor drywall repair involving slight dents, or small holes.

Just like other home improvement and maintenance project, the problem you would have to face if you try to handle the drywall repair on your own is the risk. Without any experience and skill, the risk of committing any mistake and thus sacrificing the quality of the result is huge, especially in cases where the damage is extensive. So if you think you are not up to the job, then better let the pros handle the work.

Drywall Repair Specialist

The factor that makes many homeowners cringe at the thought of acquiring professional help is the cost of labor, making up for the considerable difference when you think about how much the materials would cost. A hired drywall repair specialist, though, would save you time which you could choose to spend doing more important things. Equipped with the right tools and quality materials, you would not have to bother rummaging through the shed to look for tools.

In areas where guests are entertained like the living area or the kitchen, it pays to maintain their attractiveness. The smallest flaw could really take a toll in the area’s appearance, and what more if there is a gaping hole on the wall? This form of advertisement is so influential and so pervading, it’s hard to imaging modern society without it. Commercial advertisement TV strongly enhances brand recognition and use and is considered a driving force in the success of every major company in the country. To make commercial advertisement TV effective, it has to catch the viewers attention long enough to convince the product is worth trying and to sustain consumer interest long after the actual purchase. It is with these goals in mind that companies appropriate substantial sums of money in order to come up with a good commercial advertisement TV.Cost is one major consideration in advertising. Making commercial advertisement TV would surely cost a lot of money if advertisers decide to use celebrities as endorsers or decide to be extravagant with the theme and design of the advertisement. Hiring a large advertising firm to make the advertisement could also spell added expenses on the part of the business client. However, the cost of making commercial advertisement TV is probably considered quite small compared to the cost of running these commercials in TV. Large corporations wishing to reach the largest consumer base possible would probably make a considerable investment in having their commercial advertisement TV run in national networks. Smaller business enterprise would probably opt for running commercials in regional or local television stations. Depending on the time in which co
window.google_render_ad();
mmercial advertisement TV would be aired, costs for running commercials would cost from a few hundred dollars per second to thousands of dollars per second during primetime airing. The payback for all these expenditures, of course, could also mean branding success, in which the commercial advertisement TV would be the tool in influencing enduring brand recognition and patronage for several years to come. Some particularly successful ones would even be considered model templates on which other types of commercial advertisement TV productions would be based on.With the advent and mass usage of digital technology, the advertising community had no choice but to step up and keep up with the changing times. With the use of TiVo and other digital video recorders, consumers can now choose to record television program and skip commercial advertisement TV altogether. To this end, product introduction and advertisement becoming integrated into the program itself, either in integrating the actual product within the storyline or having labels or banners running in the lower part of the screen.Though some may speculate that lesser and lesser people would opt to watch commercial advertisement TV with the advent of advertising practice mentioned above, there is still no denying the social impact and force of a commercial on the consciousness of the general public. As long as a large number of people still opt to view their favorite programs in real broadcasting time, viewers can only expect grander and more lavish advertising productions meant to catch and even sustain their interest.

Fashion Handbags a Perfect Gift That is Always a Highlight

Handbags are an all-time addiction of most women today, and they have been one of women's basic necessities. Watching television has always been a one-way process as the viewer is merely a passive spectator. Whereas on the World Wide Web it is possible to interact by uploading videos, vote on articles and join in discussions with one or more other net users.
One of the attractive features of writing and running your own blog is the hope that you will entice other internet users to your site and that they'll leave comments underneath your published items, after all, there's nothing more attractive than being at the centre of internet chatter.
Those in the blogosphere though that engage with their readers in such a way are few and far between. 99% of bloggers are merely talking to themselves.
There are millions of blogs today and much noise for users to fight their way though in order to reach your worthy output. For instance, Technorati has 100 million blogs in its index, with a new one started every second.
The main reason why many new bloggers give up after just a few months is the realisation that they are merely writing without a audience with few, if any, readers taking an interest in their work.
One way of attracting new comments on your published items is to leave out the nofollow microformat.
In 2005 Google introduced this little bit of HTML code in order to fight the spam that was then on the rise. It didn't stop spam, if anything it has increased, but it has now become standard with most blogging platforms.
Nofollow works by adding a little piece of code to the link as so: rel=”nofollow”. This puts a stop sign out for seach engines: Don't follow this link or count the website it links to in your index.
On most blogs commentators have the ability to add their own URL to their comment. If the nofollow tag isn't used then the search engine bots flow through the link unhindered, and the website linked to is given a little boost in its search engine rankings.
In effect, not using the nofollow tag rewards the commentator by allowing a little link juice to be passed to them. Thus, it's an extra incentive to post regularly.
Not using the nofollow format is commonly called joining the dofollow community. There isn't actually a tag called dofollow but it is a label that many bloggers display with pride on their sites as it signifies their intention to reward their contributors.
However the down side of this is that your blog could be targeted by spammers who have no intention of ngaging with your website other than using it as a platform to post up their rubbish Viagra URLs or other dodgy links.
As the blog owner you need to be aware of what steps to take in order to minimise or remove the spam threat if you drop the nofollow microformat.
Firstly, in order to remove the nofollow tag then there are different methods for different platforms. For Wordpress there are a number of third-party add-ons that are easy to install and implement. Go to the main Wordpress site and type “dofollow” into the search facility on their plugins directory page and this will list a number of modules.
For Blogger you need access the code in the backend. Go to Edit HTML => Edit Template and make sure you click on the Expand Widget Templates checkbox. Now find the two instances of nofollow in the code and replace them with external. So before altering they will read rel=”nofollow” and afterwards they will read rel=”external”.
To stop spam make sure that you moderate all comments first. Don't allow the blogging platform to publish new comments until you have reviewed them.

Can You Sleep Too Much And Hypoglycemia

People can eat too much, they can drink too much water or they can exercise too much. The reason that they cannot sleep too much is because they cannot control when they sleep. The body only sleeps when it needs to. You can try to sleep for 20 hours, but you cannot, unless your body needs to sleep that long. Some people need to sleep 24 hours a day. This is called a coma. A guy was in a car accident and went into a coma for 3 months. That was many years ago, but he functions almost normally now. Some people are depressed and will sleep 12 hours per day.
Many people will wake up after sleeping and feel fine. Then they will go back to sleep and later wake up and be feeling awful. Then they think that they slept too much or too long. This is similar to when you stop smoking. Even though you feel really awful, it is good for you. Hypoglycemia (why I am I changing the subject) is actually rare. Many people will go all day without food and feel dizzy, sick, light headed and they imagine that their blood sugar has dropped too low. But this is not what is happening. When your body goes too long without food, it goes into a fasting mode. Some will say that it goes into a starvation mode but this does not happen until after the body has been in the fasting mode for about a month.
When in the fasting mode, your body is getting rid of toxins at a rapid rate similar to when you stop smoking or stop taking heroin. Some who stop taking heroin at one time, can die. It is common for someone to have those above symptoms when in the fasting mode. This happens when you go all day without eating any food and also when you sleep more than usual. Sleeping speeds up this fasting mode. When you stop your fast, it is called breaking your fast. You fast everyday and break it when you eat break-fast (pronounced brek-fist).
I told this to a woman who said that she cannot fast because she has hypoglycemia. I told her that when the body goes into a fasting mode, the tongue gets coated. She went all day without food and got those symptoms that she thought was hypoglycemia. She looked in the mirror and saw that her tongue was coated so she knew that what I said was right. So she wrote me to let me know that I really know what I am talking about. The way to cure your withdrawal symptoms from smoking is to continue without smoking.
The way to cure this problem with sleep or going all day without food, is with fasting. I used to have that problem with feeling bad after going all day without food. Now, I can go weeks without food and I feel fine. Even though it feels bad, this is good for you when you get plenty of sleep. Many people think that sleeping is waste of time. It is not a waste of time. Very important things happen when you are asleep. It is hard to understand this when you do not get the big picture.
The small picture is that you have better things to do. The big picture is that someday you will die and not be able to do anything in the physical world. When you are in deep sleep, you visit that non-physical world that you are in all the time, but you are not aware of it. It is very similar to the place you go when you die. A sleeping person looks like they are dead, but the difference is that they will wake up. Since sleep cannot be controlled, most Americans have problems sleeping. They have to do things to let go of their stress so sleep can just happen. It is something that you cannot control, which is why you cannot do it too much.
If you have trouble sleeping you may want to give up things with caffeine in it. You can try drinking Rooibos tea before going to sleep since this tea helps you to go to sleep. You can try getting exercise (like yoga) during the day, but not right before going to sleep. You can try things that are relaxing like reading, meditation or listening to music.

Debt Recovery –its Meaning And Significance

A debt settlement or debt recovery, usually takes place when a debtor is unable to pay the debt and the attempts of the creditor to take back his money have failed. This process where the creditor cancels a part of the debt and agrees to accept the remaining is also called debt negotiation. There is some difference between debt settlement and debt negotiation. The settlement is an agreement and the negotiation is the process employed for the same. The consumers either approach a debt settlement company or approach their own creditors before this. They also take debt counseling conducted by experts in which they negotiate with the creditors to settle the debt for a lower amount than owed, as the debtor saves their money for a lump-sum settlement payment. In this process the debtor receives a letter from the creditor stating that the debt obligation is fulfilled.
Debt settlement programs are also provided by third party debt resolution firms who coordinate the payment plans, and then collaborate on behalf of the consumers. These programs lower the monthly payment contributions to a minimum and get consumers debt free in a short span of time.
There are various types of debts that are eligible for debt settlement. Usually, only unsecured debts like the credit cards and medical claims can be fixed for payment. Home and car loans which are secured debts cannot be settled for payment because the creditor can recover the items bought with the credit issued to the borrower. If the debtor chooses to enter in a debt settlement program, then some companies accept smaller debt loans. The debtor’s primary motivation for the enrollment in such a program is to pay off the debts according to the debtor’s financial capability. On the other hand the motivation of the creditor is to get back his funds, which would be impossible if the debtor filed for bankruptcy. In this the creditor usually gets more funds as compared to the normal process.
The process of debt recovery is a very demanding task for the debtor because agencies are repeatedly contacting them to accumulate money owed on bills, loans and other balances. In this the collector may choose to pursue the funds through phone, mail, fax, in person or telegram.
Reputable agencies employ numerous resources for tracing debtors. They have an access to many public databases which help to trace the debtor’s recent activities. They hire professionals who investigate into the affairs of the debtor.
There are basically five main objections for debt settlement. They are as follows:
Damages credit
The method of negotiating and reaching debt settlements with creditors requires the debtor to set aside money into a settlement fund from which settlements are paid. Due to the debtor’s financial hardship, the debtor is unable to make minimum payments towards credit card debts while saving up and setting aside money to payoff settlements.
Increased collection calls
The failure to continue the planned debt repayment results in increased debt collection activities that cause the debtor undue stress.
Possibility of lawsuits
The fright of lawsuits is also an objection to debt settlement.
Tax consequences
Another common objection to debt settlement is that debtors whose debts are partially canceled outside the bankruptcy system will need to report the canceled portion of the debt as taxable income.
Debt settlement trade associations are also being set up to promote the state governments as many state legislatures are passing laws that restrict out-of-state companies from providing debt negotiation services to in-state residents. Two examples of these associations working at the global level are the United States Organization for Bankruptcy Alternatives (USOBA) and The Association of Settlement Companies (TASC).

Once a Cheater, Always a Cheater? Definitely never again.
The questions loom large. Is the cheater going to cheat again? It’s a big issue. Should you trust again or not? Is it true, “Once a cheater, always a cheater”? You may feel torn, like you want to take your cheating partner back but feel like it is a point of pride not to. You think, maybe you should just dive into that online pool, start looking for some great profiles and forget all about it. Or maybe not.
Well, I have some critical information for you: Research studies show that even among married couples, cheating is relatively common: about 22% of men and 13% of women cheat. According to recent studies, even spouses who describe themselves as “happy” with their marriage have affairs.
But the good news is this: Many people who are in relationships that have decent chemistry and benefits for both partners can actually work through the crisis of affairs. Not only that, they can become closer and put an end to cheating once and for all. This means that, “Once a cheater, always a cheater” is just not true. There are people who learn and grow from the painful emotional hurricane and the loss of closeness in the relationship that are the aftermaths of cheating.
Of course there are players or sex addicts that will cheat and cheat and cheat again. These are the ones your truly have to watch out for. How do you tell if you are dealing with a chronic cheater? Here are five signs that indicate your cheater is not a chronic case and that the relationship still has hope:
1. Your partner is truly remorseful and regrets having cheated. Look for heartfelt apologies that ring true when you hear them.
2. Your partner cuts off contact with his or her lover.
3. The cheater shows a renewed appreciation and devotion towards you.
4. You wind up having deep, open and honest conversations with each other about your relationship, what was missing in it and where you’d like to take it in the future.
5. Your partner wants to enter psychotherapy or counseling either individually or with you to understand his/her own dynamics and to make your relationship better and more intimate.
If the cheater shows these signs and the relationship is good for you in many ways, consider taking your partner back. One caveat: If your partner continues the affair or starts a new one, in spite of showing the above signs, you may be dealing with a player or a sex addict.
And just how do you know if the cheating is going on again? Here are some common signs:
• he/she's working late a lot• he/she's's suddenly taking trips you can't go on• he/she's got new hobbies that don't include you• mysterious phone calls with hang-ups• credit card bills for unexplained hotel stays or gift-type items• less sex• he/she's more distant, angry or picky
If you find out your partner is cheating again, it’s time to protect yourself from any further heartbreak by breaking up with this person. There are wonderful new matches waiting right there on your computer screen!
In sum, if your partner strays, it doesn’t absolutely mean he or she will do it again. Once a cheater, always a cheater isn’t necessarily true. Forgiveness and a new coming together are possible. If you have been betrayed but want to see if it can work, just stay heads up for a while and see which way the train is heading!
You can read about the latest research on cheating and keeping passion and love alive in your relationship in my new book , Love in 90 Days: The Essential Guide to Finding Your Own True Love.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://myopenwallets.blogspot.com/2009/01/once-cheater-always-cheater-five-signs.html' title='Once a Cheater, Always a Cheater? Don't worry... we've got you covered!
Congratulations mom! You've labored long and hard to bring that wonderful little baby into the world, and you're getting ready to show him or her off to everyone you know. Over the course of your child's infancy you'll likely be changing over 7,000 diapers! Not all of them will be at home, and that's where your first diaper bag comes in. By reading the tips below, we'll make sure you get everything you need...
Choosing your first diaper bag can be a daunting task, especially when you don't know anything. Admitting you don't know anything is the first step! Once that's done, it's a good idea to make a list of all the diaper changing needs that will be important to you. Aside from diapers you'll need formula, bibs, feeding accessories, clothing, (more clothing!), toys, pacifiers, and a dozen other things you haven't even thought of yet. And to think you looked at other moms grunting and groaning and always wondered why those diaper bags looked so heavy.
Your first diaper bag should be something that's fully functional for what you need it to do; i.e. for the trips you intend to take. At the same time, it should also be something you'd enjoy wearing as you would a handbag. Diaper bags come in everything from simple canvas totes to chic, trendy messenger style bags for urban moms all the way up to designer Italian leather diaper bags by artisans like Mia Bossi and Pyknyk. Don't go overboard your first time, as you're still going to want to experiment with what's comfortable for you. But do try to pick a bag that suits your tastes, your look, and even your personality. Great online boutique stores like Designer Baby Diaper Bags are the perfect place to browse around, as they offer hundreds of different diaper bag colors and styles - and with free shipping to boot!
As far as baby bag types go, the list below gives you a short description of what to expect when choosing your first diaper bag. Each has its own place and function in the world of a diaper changing mom:
* DIAPER TOTE - The tote style diaper bag is a popular oversized option for moms who need to carry a ton of baby accessories. They're great for long trips and overnight visits where a bringing everything along is required.
* SHOULDER DIAPER BAG - A cousin of the tote, these bags are generally smaller. The straps are made to be worn over the shoulder like a handbag and are usually adjustable. Shoulder bags can be some of the most trendy and stylish diaper bags out there.
* HOBO / DIAPER SACK - Another oversized baby changing bag, the hobo sack usually comes in a very informal yet extremely functional design. Large straps on either side pull the bag into a sack-like position, and many hobos come with metal feet on the bottom in order to protect the bag when mom needs to rest it on the ground.
* MESSENGER DIAPER BAG - A spinoff of the traditional messenger bag used in cities around the world, the diaper messenger rests on your chest, held in place by straps that go across your back. The advantage here is that mom can retrieve items from the bag without having to take it off.
* DIAPER BACKPACK - A perfect solution to keeping both hands free. Diaper backpacks are available that operate the same as any other backpack, except that they contain all the necessary mesh pockets, bottle holders, and zippered and velcro enclosures that a fully-functional diaper bag would need.
* DADDY DIAPER BAG - Recent advances in woman's rights have led to men actually changing diapers! To facilitate men wanting to carry a 'bag' around with them, these diaper bags are sold in masculine styles and colors. Most are backpacks or messenger bags, and many have camouflage patterns or even have skulls (yes, skulls) on them.
* DIAPER CLUTCH - The diaper clutch is nothing more than a wallet-sized diaper bag meant to hold the most necessary changing essentials (maybe two or three diapers, some ointment, wipes, etc...) The clutch is perfect for short trips when you plan to be home soon.
In the end, choosing your first diaper bag should be something you have fun with. Be sure to shop around and look for a bag that's right for you. Explore the features and dimensions of each, and see if it fits in with how you plan on traveling with your baby. Perhaps most of all, try to find the right blend of function and style.

The Forgotten City - Exploring The Mayan Ruins Of Coba

Some of the most popular activities in Cancun are visits to the sites of ancient Mayan ruins. While many visitors are aware of the world-famous Chichen Itza and plenty of tours visit nearby Tulum, archeologists and those in the know often recommend a forgotten Mayan city. Deep in the Mexican jungle rests the city of Coba, an expansive complex of stone structures and winding roads. Due to its remote location, Coba wasn’t explored by archeologists until the 1920s and remains mostly unexcavated. However, realizing the cultural value of the site, the local government constructed a modern road to the site in the 1970s and tours have grown in popularity ever since.
Though known for its stone pyramids, the area of Coba was populated and used for agricultural purposes as far back as 600 BC. By the 1st century AD, Coba began to show signs of its eventual prominence in the Mayan Kingdom, sustaining a sizable population in a more concentrated area. Much like the other great Mayan cities of Mexico, the majority of development took place between the 6th and 10th centuries – including the construction of the temples and pyramids that can be seen today. It is believed that Coba’s population numbered at least 50,000 during this time – certainly no small number for an ancient city. Following the initial decline of the Mayan civilization, new temples were constructed in Coba as late as the 14th century, with many inhabitants remaining as late as the arrival of the Spanish conquistadores.
One of the first things you will notice when you arrive in Coba is the series of ancient stone roads known as sacbeob. In addition to supporting the belief that Coba was a large and influential city during its peak, these roads are the finest example of the Mayan mode of transportation anywhere in Mexico. While most of the stones have since been misplaced, the well-defined paths are unmistakable. Some of these roads lead to the Caribbean coast – approximately 25 miles to the east – while the longest pathway is connected to the smaller Mayan site of Yaxuna over 60 miles to the west. Within the city itself, these same roads connect the temples and other structures within an ancient model of the urban grid system.
The first structure you will notice along the sacbeob is the pyramid known as La Iglesia. Standing over 65 feet, this steep stone temple is the second-tallest structure in Coba. About a mile down the main road, you will encounter one of the Mayan kingdom’s greatest temples. Towering above the jungle at 136 feet, Nohoch Mul is certainly a sight to behold. Once you reach the top of the stone steps, however, you will be granted an even more impressive view of the surrounding jungle and Coba’s nearby lagoons. Another favorite site along Coba’s winding paths is the Conjunto Las Picturas (Temple of the Paintings), a multilevel pyramid once crowned with colorful murals – remnants of which can still be detected.
If you also visit Chichen Itza or Tulum while in Cancun, Coba will stand out for reasons other than its impressive architecture. As Coba has only been accessible by modern roads for 30 years, the city hasn’t received the attention paid to other Mayan sites. As a result, development in and around the site has been kept to a minimum. For the most part, the structures in Coba have been left in their original state, many still uncovered. For the tourist, this means that the site maintains the ancient allure that greeted the first archeologists nearly a century ago. Furthermore, with the Mexican jungle encroaching upon the city from all angles, Coba is bound to feel as exotic as any place you have ever visited.
Most visitors to Coba experience the site as a day trip from the resorts of Cancun. While there are fewer tours to the site than either Chichen Itza or Tulum, it shouldn’t be difficult to find reliable transportation to the ruins through your resort. Buses generally leave for Coba in the early morning, as the site is open daily from 8 am to 5 pm. When you arrive, you can view the site with the help of a tour guide, stroll at your own pace or rent a bicycle and cruise the ancient roads of the city. When you’ve had your share of Coba and the vibrant surrounding jungle, check out the modest gift stalls or grab a snack at one of the rustic cafes.
If you want to explore the remnants of the Mayan kingdom, there are plenty of fascinating sites within a short ride of Cancun. However, you don’t want to forget about the great city of the jungle – the always exotic and captivating Coba.

antique pine furniture tips

Why would you buy antique pine furniture against buying new pieces also a small section on renovating a chest of drawers yourself
Old pine furniture tips
You could go round the shops or have a look online
only to find the same mass produced furniture. That is OK,but doesn't have any character or uniqueness.
Alternatively what about some older or antique pieces, they say to be antique is 100 years old.
I think antique pieces bought at the right money are good value as when you have your new furniture delivered the some of money value is gone.
We started our small business by chance. I had repaired some furniture and sold it locally but that's only a hobby, you could not live on it.
We went to newark antiques fare about 10 years ago and met some dutch traders and found the furniture good but in need of a few repairs which is fine.
Next came the rented space in an antiques centre and the coming of eBay and it was a good part time job.
The website came on well and developed up the google rankings which made it full time.
I just deal in antique pine furniture.
Do it yourself. For example, a chest of drawers
You could buy a chest of drawers from the local auction say £125 and get it stripped for about £40 pounds and see what you have got, and with a bit of luck the carcass will be OK.
If you have to start changing tops or sides, oh dear.
Probably you will need to change the feet. I sometimes make a plinth around the bottom say 1/2 inch thick gives it strength as you fix the bottom to the sides and back if timber has been slightly wormy and gives a good fixing for the feet.
If the original carcass made of planked timber and you get a get a split, cut a strip of timber to fit the gap and glue it in.
You can sand it up and colour the new piece later.
Another good one is replace a missing knot by shaping down a broom handle with a knife tap it into the hole and saw of the excess flat.
Now put your hand on the top of the chest and Rock it side to side, oh god its all moving around,we need to nail the back top and bottom as the back is in sections to allow it to move but the nails have gone to rust
Drawer runners will need to be repaired, you have to square up the bottom edge and make a strip of timber and fix it to the bottom of the drawer same with the runner on the carcass on all the drawers.
This fixes the problem of when you pull out the drawer it just drops down instead of sliding out.
OK now sand it all up and replace the handles because there is bound to be one missing. If you have locks to repair get the blank keys from a dealer and file them to suit.
only got to wax now, three coats and your done perfect.
Why not come to us at Stourbridge Antique Pine
Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com

Securing Compensation For Brain Injury

If you are reading this review because one of your relatives or friends has recently suffered a catastrophic brain injury, you or may be facing a wide range of conflicting emotions and extraordinary distress as you come to terms with the consequences of such a serious accident. The problems that a brain injury can present are wide ranging. In its most extreme form, a loved one who has experienced a brain injury may be in a coma or a persistent vegetative state; this is where the brain injury victim is unable to regain consciousness and activity in the brain is low. In these circumstances, a continued stay in hospital or a nursing home is usually the only option available. However, these cases are rare and more frequently the victim of a brain injury will recover consciousness and will be able to be discharged from hospital to return home. However, they may be seriously affected by the brain injury and may be completely unable to care for themselves.
However, not all brain injury will produce such severe symptoms. There are also milder cases of brain injury where, for example, a loved one may lose the ability to remember what was said a few moments previously, but function quite normally in all other respects. Care will still be required, but to a lesser extent.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to accurately predict the extent and consequences of a brain injury resulting from a head trauma in the early stages following an accident; in many cases, the full effects will only become apparent with time. Perhaps the hardest fact to come to terms with is that the chances of a full recovery from a brain injury are slight. Unlike many other body tissues, our nervous system is not able to repair itself very effectively, even with time. This means that the effects of a brain injury must be considered to be permanent.
Should you find yourself in a position where one of your relatives or friends have suffered a serious brain injury, the time will come when your loved one can be brought home, and day-to-day responsibility for care will pass to you and specialist nursing and care staff. This means that practical plans must be made to care for a loved one who has experienced a brain injury as rapidly as possible for the months and years ahead, and this is where specialist advice from a legal firm with considerable experience in handling, managing and executing brain injury claims is essential.
After diagnosis of a brain injury, the most important step a family can take is to ensure adequate compensation awards are sought from the relevant insurers. The considerations that must be made in cases of brain injury are many and complex and only one compensation award will be made. If the sum awarded as compensation for the brain injury proves to be inadequate to provide lifelong care, there is no opportunity to go back to the courts to ask for further funds at a later date. Furthermore, you will need financial and practical assistance both before and after the brain injury compensation case has been heard; when a final settlement may take up to five years to achieve, this is an important consideration to bear in mind when selecting your legal firm.
A legal practice that specialises in serious brain injury compensation cases will do far more than merely fight your case for you in the courts. For those lucky brides, they already know who their bridesmaids are going to be even before the guy proposed, however for some, choosing their bridesmaids can be a hair-splitting decision.
Bridesmaids have a lot of responsibilities and obligations, which makes their role a pivotal. They have to understand that they were picked for a significant reason, and that is they were chosen not only because they are the few girl friends who are very close to the bride's heart, but also she knows that they are the ones whom she can really count on to.
It is a wedding tradition to give thanks to the bridesmaids by means of giving bridesmaids gifts. Bridesmaids gifts should be given to make the girls feel happy and appreciated, therefore it is always best to choose gifts that are really perfect for their tastes. However, finding the perfect gifts for these ladies to accurately express your appreciation and all they have shared with you can be very challenging. For some brides, uniform gifts are an easy and quick choice, but others would love giving individual gifts to their bridesmaids. Unique bridesmaids gifts, however, are always a nice choice and don't have to be expensive or elaborated to be appreciated. Consider to choose items that each of your bridesmaids will enjoy.
Many brides would tend to give jewelry pieces to their bridesmaids at the bridal shower party or other useful things their bridesmaids can use on the wedding day. This alone can already make a gift for bridesmaid, or you can add a bit of excitement by including an extra gift. Some great ideas for your bridesmaids include, personalized picture frames or photo albums, bath and body or spa products, candles or any combination of these in gift baskets.
Another outside-the-box gift idea is to give a service oriented gift. You can pay your bridesmaids to enjoy a day at the spa or beauty saloon. Obviously, this idea can be quite expensive, but try to consider hiring a home spa host that is much more affordable. You can find one in your area by searching the Internet. Alternatively, you can give gift certificates as well.
Lastly, you may also want to consider personalized bridesmaids gifts. These are very popular nowadays. There are a wide variety of personalized items that can make a unique bridesmaids gift, ranging from personalized bridesmaids jewelry pieces, t-shirts, cosmetic items to handbags and other bridesmaids apparel. Try searching online for more wider and and affordable selection. Why not give a personalized jewelry pieces that they can wear even after your wedding day? Or perhaps, personalized cosmetic bags, robes, or tote bags with their individual name or initials that are a really nice touch? Personalized journals, planners, or business card holders can also add a sophisticated touch if your bridesmaids is primarily composed of busy yet organized ladies. However, few among them understand the definition of Tarot cards, not to mention Tarot card individual meanings. To understand the significance of Tarot cards, one must learn about the two Arcanas involved in Tarot card readings - the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. While the 22 cards in the Tarot deck - or Major Arcana - predict major events in one’s life, the 56 Minor Arcana cards reveal the everyday, difficulties in life. Psychic practitioners of this timeless medium believe that both Arcanas are necessary for a complete reading of one’s past, current and future life. The 56 cards of the Minor Arcana have four suits - pentacles, cups, wands and swords. Each suit is represented by graphics symbolizing the four elements of nature - air, earth, fire and water. Here is some information on Tarot card individual meanings, specifically of the Minor Arcana cards. This will help you gain some knowledge of this fascinating subject, as well as to learn more about yourself. Pentacles - Material gain, money and industry are represented by this suit and associated with the earth. The ’pentacles’ are the coin-like discs, which carry pentagram inscriptions seen as the 5-pointed stars in the cards. The cards in this suit, except for the five of pentacles show people reaping the fruits of their labor. In ancient times, people wore pentagrams to protect themselves from evil. The ’diamond’ suit of today’s playing cards has evolved from the ’penta
window.google_render_ad();
cles’. Cups - Cards in this suit represent water and reveal happiness, emotions, beauty and fertility. The Tarot card individual meanings represented by the ’cups’ can also reveal aspects of the subconscious mind and human instinct but not conscious mind and reasoning. In a standard deck of playing cards, the ’heart’ suit owes its origin to the cups. Wands - This suit is associated with fire and represents growth, glory, enterprise, energy and animation. The greenwood with a few live twigs as seen in the illustration on the cards of this suit, signify growth. ’Wands’ can be interpreted as staffs to carry the victor’s crown or as clubs used in combat. Wands also represent concepts, creation and agriculture. The ’club’ suit in today’s playing cards owes its origin to the wands. Swords - The Tarot card individual meanings represented by the ’swords’ suit are aggression, ambition, courage, misfortune and force. This can be interpreted by the illustrations showing people in combat or with heads bowed down in misfortune. The swords also represent action, both good and bad. This suit is associated with air and is the forerunner of the ’spade’ suit in today’s playing cards. Any experienced psychic or user of the Tarot card medium can easily explain tarot card individual meanings. Among the many techniques used by psychics, Tarot cards are, perhaps, one of the popular ones. Tarot is one harmless way that people can consider to address, or learn about, the day-to-day problems in their lives.

Getting Approved For a Low Rate Car Loan Even With Bad Credit

If bad credit car loan candidates go out in market only one or two lenders come forward to offer an auto loan, for them online financing can be a great time saver. It's by far the best free method of promoting your business and increasing your sales and opt in subscribers.By submitting your articles to article directories, article announcement lists, and ezine publishers, you accomplish several things .For more details visit to www.ezines-success.com. The first is that you begin to establish yourself as an expert in your chosen field. If readers get the impression that you are knowledgeable they are more likely to listen to you.Next, you give the reader a direct link back to your website by means of attaching a resource box. There is a good chance that the reader will click your link to visit your website where they will see what you have to offer. Most importantly, your article provides a one way non reciprocal link pointing to your website, which can increase search engine ranking. Extra weight is given to one way links by the search engines. But many marketers are not comfortable writing their own articles. They just do not know how to put their thoughts into words. Or worse yet, they do not have any thoughts worth printing. That is why private label articles are in such high demand these days. There are several of these services available and more seem to be popping up every day.Your results will vary from the good, the bad or the ugly depending on how you make use of private label articles. When uses correctly, private label articles can give non writers an advantage over their fellow article marketers. Good articles can help to boost your sales, website traffic and your subscriber lists.
window.google_render_ad();
A common mistake made by marketers using private label articles is getting lazy. They simply copy and paste the article and submit it, as is, with no personalization .For more information logon to www.press-release-profits.com. At the very least, you should change the title. Most article directories require that your article be approved before they are posted. But do you really think they read every article that comes in? Not likely. They get dozens, even hundreds of submissions every day, so it's unlikely that your article will actually be read. However, article directories automatically check their database to see if articles with the same title already exist. If a title match is found your article will be rejected. It might be good to change some of the wording in the first paragraph so it's not easily recognized and also come up with a new title. What you want to avoid at all costs is loading up your article with links so that it looks like nothing more than an ad. If you do this you'll be rejected and if you continue to do it you could get banned.A good article contains useful information to the reader whether they buy your products or not. Give them good content and you will increase the chances that they will click your link in the resource box. You can publish this article on your website or in your ezine. The article must not be altered and you must include the resource box below with live link

Something on Tamil Nadu Beaches

There is no lack of beautiful picturesque beaches located in Tamil Nadu State, in southern part of India, with its average tropical climate. The beaches existing on this long coastline of the Deccan Peninsula differ from the overcrowded ‘fun time’ shores in Chennai such as the Elliots and the Marina beaches to those like Rameswaram, Kanyakumari, and Mahabalipuram beaches that are both famous tourist places and sites of historical importance as well. Also, Tamil Nadu has beach resorts such as the VGP Golden Beach that is a perfect ‘fun spot’ for the small tots and the family, and
window.google_render_ad();
the destination where business meetings and conferences are held by big corporate houses. Tamil Nadu enjoys the benefit of having a perfect infrastructure that makes touring from one side of the state to other very easy, with its rail, air, and road networks.
When we were to choose Mahabalipuram, a beach having rock carvings going back to the 6th century AD, this is only an hour’s tour by car from Chennai City Airport. The similar applies to VGP Golden Beach that is much closer and within the city. Many of the beaches in the state are picnic place and common family holidaying destinations

Integrated Safety Instrumented Systems and Distributed Control Systems - Are They a Good Idea?

For those of you who have been entrusted with the task of selecting a safety instrumented system for use in your plant, often run into a perplexing question. Should I go for an integrated Safety Instrumented System, which will be totally different from my Distributed Control system (or DCS for short)? Or should I select one of the newer “integrated systems”, that comprise of both the Distributed Control System and a Safety Instrumented System in one package?
A Safety Instrumented System (or SIS) is a special kind of control system that is used for the safety critical parts of process plants, turbo machinery, boilers and other machinery or equipment that has to be controlled with a very high degree of reliability in order to run it safely, as well as bring it to a safe state if something goes wrong. Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD for short), can be considered a subset of the SIS category of control systems.
On the other hand DCS (Distributed Control Systems) are those control systems that are used for normal control and monitoring operations of process plants, oil refineries, oil & gas production platforms, power plants and so on. The DCS is the main system that measures, monitors and controls various process parameters like flow, temperature, pressure and so on. In standards related literature, this system is also referred to as the BPCS (short for Basic Process Control System).
In the view of the standards bodies (like IEC and ISA), these two systems have to be completely separate, as these safety instrumented systems have to be dedicated to controlling only the safety critical parts of the plant .The ordinary DCS cannot be said to be robust, fail-safe and sure to operate the safety critical instruments at all times. This distinction between the DCS and SIS, led to separate markets for both types of systems with separate suppliers for both, initially. Thus companies like Triconex, HIMA, Pilz and ICS Triplex were the traditional vendors of these Safety Instrumented Systems, whereas the BPCS or DCS market belonged to the companies like Emerson, ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa and Invensys.
This obviously, meant that now, if a plant had instruments and controls that were designated as safety critical, it necessarily required a separate SIS; the DCS would not do at all because of what the standards state. Thus now, one control room had two control systems, completely different as chalk and cheese. The SIS had separate power supply (or a UPS), separate panels, monitoring stations, separate programming software and of course totally separate hardware from the DCS. The same Instrument engineer who maintained the instruments and controls of this process plant, now had to be adept at both systems simultaneously. Plant modifications and changes were a pain as any change had to be implemented in both systems, with a lot of testing to ensure that the original interlocks and loops worked as designed to.
Making the two systems communicate with each other, also proved not so simple, since even after DCS vendors had come out with open systems, the Safety Instrumented System vendors were reluctant to migrate to such systems, due to the extensive proof testing required to ensure that the “open” systems were bug free.
Hence, most instrument engineers in these situations started wishing for a new deal, whereby both the SIS and the DCS could talk to each other seamlessly (even while remaining separate to conform to the standards) . Also, what if they could share a common engineering /programming platform as well? That would be the icing on the cake!
The DCS vendors sensed this mood of the users and many of them came out with “integrated” DCS/SIS systems, where the DCS and SIS controllers are different, but part of the same overall system. Some recent examples are Emerson’s Delta V with SIS and Siemens Safety Integrated system. These reportedly have become popular, due to the fact that most of these integrated systems have got third party (most commonly TUV) certificates for the SIS part, so users can have a worry free installation of these for safety critical applications. However, I have not yet seen any debate in the technical media, regarding this issue. Are these systems doing great, or are users now longing for the earlier separate DCS/SIS systems? I think we need some more time and more data, to arrive at any definitive conclusion. The advantages of an integrated DCS/SIS are obvious, as stated above. The disadvantages are somewhat less obvious. One disadvantage is that if the SIS portion is really easy to program, then there is a chance that unauthorized users (say a savvy DCS operator) might end up changing protected settings like interlock bypasses and setpoints, which is really dangerous. Plus the thought of having an SIS with a standard “open” OS like Windows, is rather uncomfortable, as the last thing one wants is a system freeze during an emergency.
Only time will tell, if the integrated SIS/DCS systems were a better choice than the stand-alone SIS, as then we would have enough data to have a balanced view.

What Type Of Real Estate Investor Are You?

In my new book, BUBBLE PROOF, I share with readers all of the tools needed to launch a successful career in real estate investing. Over the course of my career, I have found that there are four basic types of real estate investors. The key to unlocking your success in the field is understanding what type of investor you are so that you can act accordingly.
It is important to note that you are not stuck as one of these four types just because of your personality. Instead of four different types, you can view these as four levels of real estate investment through which people can pass, from one to four, as they develop as real estate investors. Not everyone passes through these four levels, but if you develop as a real estate investor, these are the levels through which you are likely to pass.
The four types are as follows:
* Type 1: Safe/secure investors own their homes. They are willing to invest in other properties, but want to carefully review all the benefits and risks or they won't get into the game.
* Type 2: Moderate investors often own one or two additional properties as well as their homes. They like to take small, educated steps. For them, the grass is always greener in other people's deals.
* Type 3: Risk-takers thrive on possibilities and are quick to discern good deals. For them, money is the means to something rather than the goal itself.
* Type 4: Full-time real estate investment freaks eat, sleep, and drink real estate. When they are not structuring deals for themselves, they are doing so for friends. Some people never see opportunities even if they see so many that they have to avoid tripping over them. Investment freaks tend to have a good solid foundation in real estate and are successful people who take action quickly. Their outlook is that they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Which of these four levels represents you as an investor? The answer to that may depend on your risk tolerance. If you are risk averse, the first or second levels are most likely. If you have a more devil-may-care personality, you may start out on the third level. As with any kind of investing, however, caution pays off in real estate, especially for beginners who have yet to learn the rules of the game. However, some experienced investors are held back by their extreme caution, and always will be. These are the real type-one investors. Lifelong type-two investors often lack the drive that motivates others to become type-three risk-takers as they gain confidence.
How do you end up as a type-four, full-time investor? Well, one success leads to another. You learn to make quick decisions. You know that you must change your life to change your income. Over time, you see the things you need to do to change your life, and you do them. You control your fears. With experience, you become educated in real estate. You begin to trust yourself.
Achieving financial freedom through real estate is all a matter of changing your mindset. Type 4 investors have all gained the experience to not only recognize an opportunity, but to act on it quickly and effectively. That is the "Millionaire Mindset," and it is the key to achieving your financial freedom.

When Would You Use a Custom Mascot?

There is any number of reasons for a business to have a mascot in this day and age. Even if a company doesn't do television advertising or a whole lot of public appearances, a mascot could be the one thing that sets them apart from the competition and thereby increases the potential for creating new sources of revenue by bringing in new customers.
Why Go Custom
Some companies choose the same old tired, ordinary, run of the mill representations that have already been done to death, and then they wonder why the additional investment of adding a mascot into their forms of advertising doesn't pay very many dividends.
What they are failing to realize, is that using the same exact type of mascot that every other business in their industries uses won't set their business apart at all. So by choosing the same type of mascot that everyone else has chosen, you run the risk of not getting noticed at all or, worse yet, having your business getting confused with one of your competitors.
To attract both the most and the right kind of attention you need a cleverly thought out and completely original mascot to represent your company - something that offers a perfect illustration of the product or service that you provide, but that has never been done before.
How to go about it
You don't need to be a professional artist or design major to put the perfect plan of attack for developing your mascot together, but you will need to have a very clear idea of what you are looking for and you'll need to be able to clearly express your vision to someone that can put it together.
You'll need to know "what" your mascot is; is it an animal, vegetable, mineral or some strange combination of the three. You'll have to know what size, shape and color he or she will be, as well as how you are going to connect the new creation to the particular product or service that your company provides.
Remember that once you have your cleverly developed and completely original custom mascot in a position of representing your company to the public, that your business will be permanently associated with the created character, so this is certainly not a decision that should be entered into too lightly. Quite the contrary, in fact, - a great deal of thought, planning and preparation should go into the development of your custom mascot.
Developing and implementing a custom mascot into your company's advertising campaign could very well pay dividends far beyond the work and monetary investment that it took to create it.
With potentially hundreds and hundreds of businesses out there competing for the exact same customers, a mascot painted brilliantly on the side of your building, emblazoned across a twenty foot billboard, or jumping from the pages of the phone book could very well be the reason that your company gets picked over a competitors.
Companies spend millions and millions of dollars a year on advertising campaigns that may or may not work to get them noticed, but the creation of your custom mascot would be a one time investment that could pay dividends for as long as your company's doors are open. It could get your company noticed by new customers, and if you've got the quality service to go along with it, a good custom mascot will make it easier for your company to get recognized and remembered.
When considering how many potential customers are out there and how much your competitors are paying for nearly futile types of advertising - it should seem like the creation of a custom mascot could be the greatest investment that your company could make.

Affiliate Marketing Offers Low Startup Costs

Affiliate marketing has been described in various ways but basically they all have the same meaning. On the Internet today affiliate marketing has solidified its place in the world of e-commerce business. Essentially, affiliate marketing is a cooperative effort between a merchant and the affiliate's website. From a merchant's perspective, for many years now, affiliate marketing has proven to be very cost effective. By teaming up with various website owners merchants can now essentially have a World Wide Web sales staff operating strictly on commission with no other overhead. For help visit www.affiliate-windfall-secrets.com. This is a very attractive scenario for the merchant or advertiser and with today's explosive growth of online buying it has become a win-win business model for both the merchant and the website owner. Each and every day more and more people come across and become more interested in affiliate marketing and how they can make money from participating. And just like any new startup business the failure rate in affiliate marketing is quite high. Most people new to affiliate marketing don't understand the intricacies of affiliate marketing and what it takes to be successful with an affiliate website. When I work with people just getting started in affiliate marketing probably the biggest misconception that people who are just getting started have his understanding the difference between advertising and marketing.I would say that the vast number of affiliate marketing sites that I work with and come across would be more accurately define as affiliate advertising. These sites generally will not last very long in the competitive arena of affiliate marketing. Conversely, I also work with people who go to the other extreme and believe that they have to be the "seller" of whatever product or service they feature on their website. The truly successful sites and the ones that make a good living for the website owner understand what it means to market not only their website but their affiliate product as well. Certainly, selling and advertising are components of marketing but they have to be combine in an overall consistent approach that ultimately makes their websites sell.In the affiliate marketing business model the affiliate is compensated for every visitor that they send to a merchant site and then purchases from the merchant a product or service being offered. Affiliate compensation can vary greatly between affiliate programs and the products that they offer. Many of the affiliate marketing programs out there today are being managed by affiliate networks. These affiliate networks are composed of various merchants and affiliates. Each having their own function when it comes to affiliate marketing. An affiliate network acts as a third-party between the merchant and the associated affiliates of the merchant. Essentially the network provides the technology to deliver the merchants campaigns and offers to the various affiliates and keep track of sales and statistics for both parties. Also, an affiliate network will collect the commission fees from the merchant and then pay the affiliates who have earned said commissions.
window.google_render_ad();
The benefits of being an affiliate marketer are many. The affiliate is a website owner that markets and promotes one or more merchants and their products via the affiliate program. Affiliate marketing can quite possibly provide a full-time income for the affiliate. And although much of the marketing surrounding affiliate marketing would indicate that this is not only possible but rather easy; simply isn't true. Just like any business it takes hard work and persistence to be truly successful.Affiliate marketing can be a great situation for someone wanting to start up their own business and work from home. for more details you can login towww.affiliate-directories-online.com. The level of success defined is a personal thing and certainly affiliate marketing offers all levels of success. From a pure business standpoint, affiliate marketing offers low startup costs and very little overhead. That's the easy part. Once you have your website up and you have found some good affiliate programs to offer your visitors, the true challenge is getting those visitors to your website. And thus begins an entirely new topic in the arena of affiliate marketing. Because without visitors there are no commissions. Where you park your car when you come home at night can also affect how much you pay in insurance as well.
This is because where you live gives adjusters invaluable information that helps them devise applicable rates.
Urban insurance rate calculations
If you live in the city or in urban areas fro example, your insurance rates could be a bit higher. Things like traffic and crime rates can increase the risk of theft or automobile accidents. The bright side of this is that you may have access to greater coverage options in areas that matter.
Suburban Residential calculations
Just as with urban rate adjustments, there are things that an insurance provider will look at before giving a price quote. Below are a few things that may cause the price quote to go up or down.
- Animals - Some areas are more apt to have either domesticated pets or even wild life, like deer, in the area. The more animals in that area, the more likely an accident involving one can occur. Of course, your driving record will also indicate your likelihood in striking an animal and will be weighed in with final calculations.
- Children and schools - A residential neighborhood that is located in school districts or caters to families are also looked at when adjusters assess insurance premiums. This is because accidents involving little ones are more apt to occur. Once again your driving record will reflect how heavily this factors into insurance costs.
- Speeders - Companies that provide insurance coverage are well aware of where high risk accident areas are located. Just because you live in a residential or suburban neighborhood doesn’t mean that it is the safest area in regards to car accidents. For example, there are some areas that are well known for heavy traffic, congestion and speeding. Motorists who live in neighborhoods that contain these conditions are far more likely to have higher insurance premiums than those who do not.
Other factors that affect residential motorists
An urban car owner may pay more on average than someone who lives in the outskirts of town; however, there are situations where a residential homeowner will pay more that a city dweller in car insurance premiums. For instance, a thirty something man or woman who lives downtown but is single and has never had a record of traffic violations may pay less than a married driver who has his or her spouse and or teenagers on their policy.
Finding the best policy for your situation
To locate the best possible coverage for your car, visit a company that has several types of packages that could suit your needs. Be sure to be completely honest as they will help make sure you are covered and fully protected against every applicable contingency. If you plan to let other individuals drive your car, there are several flexible plans available for that scenario, including insurance policies that protect you even if an uncovered motorist wrecks you car. In this day and age, driving without insurance is not a good idea...you risk everything, including your license, in the event of an accident.
There are a host of online insurance companies that offer competitive rates and some even give you several quotes at once. Whatever you do, don’t shortchange yourself...cheap insurance may not cover all the incidentals that can occur after an accident.
Savvy residential car owners can make smart choices with the proper research. By utilizing the right information, you can get the best insurance for your car and protect your family.
